By downloading or using BiteBase, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. The Service

BiteBase is an AI-powered recipe and meal planning iOS application. We provide tools for scanning fridge contents, generating recipe ideas, planning meals, and tracking nutrition. AI features are powered by Anthropic Claude AI.

2. Accounts

You may use BiteBase as a guest or create an account with your email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

3. Premium Subscription

• BiteBase Premium is available at $2.99/month, billed through Apple's in-app purchase system.
• Subscriptions auto-renew monthly unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel your subscription in iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods, except as required by applicable law.
• Prices may change with 30 days' notice.

4. Free Tier

Free users may access AI features up to 3 times per day. BiteBase reserves the right to adjust free tier limits.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app
• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the service

6. AI-Generated Content

Recipe suggestions and nutritional information generated by AI are for informational purposes only. Always use your own judgement regarding food safety, allergies, and dietary requirements. BiteBase is not a medical or dietary advice service. Consult a healthcare professional for specific dietary needs.

7. Intellectual Property

BiteBase and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by BiteBase and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any content you create and save within the app.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BITEBASE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BITEBASE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
